GAME SET MATCH AT BROOKWATER
May, 2010It will soon be game on in Brookwater with construction underway to build four competition-size tennis courts.
Brookwater General Manager Chris Safonoff said construction of the tennis courts will enhance the existing sporting recreation facilities for the local community.
"Positioning tennis courts adjacent to Queensland's number one golf course gives locals access to first-class recreational facilities," Mr Safonoff said.
"The tennis courts will be open to all members of the community, including Brookwater residents and Golf Club members," he said.
Brookwater Golf Club General Manager Peter Hourigan said the tennis courts will be located adjacent to the golf club giving tennis players access to all of the club amenities.
"The tennis courts will be of the highest quality featuring four competition-size courts, competition-level lighting and synthetic turf," Mr Hourigan said.
"The courts will operate day and night and well-priced fees will be in place for all to enjoy," he said.
The tennis courts are currently under construction on Tournament Drive and are expected to be completed, subject to weather, by early July. A grand opening is scheduled for Sunday 1st August.
