Greater Springfield Movies in the Park

27 February 2012

Hollywood is coming to town with the Greater Springfield Movies in the Park showing three films for free during March and April.

As part of the 20-year celebrations of Greater Springfield, the community is invited to bring their chairs, rug and a picnic and enjoy movies including Kung Fu Panda 2, multiple-award winning Australian film Red Dog and Easter-themed movie HOP.

The events are hosted by Springfield Land Corporation in conjunction with Ipswich Hospital Foundation who will run a ‘Fitflicks’ pre-movie warm-up before each movie, with great exercise activities for the whole family.

Director of Marketing for Springfield Land Corporation Naren Sinnathamby said the Greater Springfield Movies in the Park was a great way for the family to come together and enjoy a great cinema experience.

“The movies are free and we invite the whole community to come along and enjoy some great family entertainment,”

“This is the first of a number of activities we intend to hold as part of Greater Springfield’s 20th Birthday” Mr Sinnathamby said.
