Hole 5
167m - Par 3
This beautiful par 3 is the final hole of the stunning opening five holes and the first of the par 3s on the course. It is a steep downhill hole played from a series of tees set into the natural bush rock.
The green is angled away to the left and that side of the green is flanked by the natural bush, a steep gully and a large deep bunker. The easiest approach is from the right where the slope of the hillside helps the ball toward the front of the green.
The ridge which frames the right hand bunker extends into the green, making access to the back right section of the green very difficult if the tee shot is missed to the right.
The difficulty of this hole very much depends on the pin location with the front right section of the green the most accessible. There is a steep drop-off at the back of the green and any shot played with too much club will run away towards the 6th tee leaving a difficult recovery.
Pro's Tip: Play one less club to this green due to the severe drop in elevation.
