Hole 2

406m - Par 4

The tough 2nd hole is situated in a valley and rolls gently uphill before curving right towards the green.

The feature of this hole is a set of gum trees situated where the hole turns right. These trees block the direct approach to the green from the middle of the fairway and largely determine the strategy of the hole. The decision on the tee is whether to play left or right of these trees.

A dry creek bed runs from the right of these gums and guards the right side of the green. The tee shot towards the right hand side of the fairway will leave an approach over this creek towards an angled green.

The safer second shot is from the left side of the fairway where the front half of the green is more easily accessible - even though the left side of the green is guarded by a large bunker.

Pro's Tip: Take on the green from the right hand side if you dare! An approach shot in the fairway and short of the green will leave a flat pitch to this flat green.
