April 14, 2011

Brookwater Golf Club has once again landed Queensland's top spot in Golf Australia's exclusive ranking of Australia's top 100 public access golf courses, securing the number 10 position in the bi-annual national listing.

The placement marks the fifth consecutive year that Brookwater has taken out the title for Queensland's best public access golf course. The ranking is compiled by Golf Australia magazine editors, industry experts and readers over the past 12 months, and represents the very best courses you can readily play.

The Brookwater golf course was designed by two-time major winner Greg Norman, whose award-winning courses are famed for using the natural contours of the landscape while taking on a strategic design.

Brookwater deputy managing director Raynuha Sinnathamby said Brookwater's world-class golf course was the centrepiece of the premier golfing community, offering residents an exclusive golfing lifestyle that is simply unrivalled.

"Brookwater residents have access to premier community facilities - including, of course, our award-winning golf course and clubhouse - which all contribute to the overall liveability of the area," Ms Sinnathamby said.

"Brookwater is a world-class golf residential community just 30 minutes from Brisbane, with the spectacular Greg Norman-designed golf course proving not only to be the centrepiece for our community, but a destination for those passionate about premium golf," Ms Sinnathamby said.

The Brookwater golf course is strategic in design, featuring a varied terrain encompassing two nine-hole loops and an overall distance of 6,505 metres.

A public access course is a golf course that sets aside tee times for visiting golfers for a minimum of five days per week. There are approximately 1,100 public access courses in Australia, with Golf Australia's top-100 list representing the best of the best within Australia.
