Drift Brookwater was magically transformed for Brookwater’s ‘night of nights’ on Saturday 8 September, with 160 guests turning out to attend the Brookwater Community Masquerade Ball.

Springfield Land Corporation Director of Marketing – and Master of Ceremonies on the night – Naren Sinnathamby said the Brookwater Community Masquerade Ball was a huge success, with all proceeds raised going to Variety Queensland.

“The Brookwater Community Masquerade Ball was a huge success, with 160 guests turning out to indulge in a night of elegance in a bid to raise funds for Variety Queensland,” Mr Sinnathamby said.

“The generosity and support from the Brookwater community was overwhelming, with more than $7,000 raised for charity.

“Of course, the event couldn’t have even happened if it weren’t for our amazing sponsors – NuGrow Landscaping Supplies and Marsupial Landscape Management, and Drift Brookwater,” Mr Sinnathamby said.

Now in its seventh year, the annual Brookwater Ball is a community fundraising event, proudly presented by Springfield Land Corporation.

Variety Queensland works directly with individual families and organisations in its mission to empower Queensland children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to live, laugh and learn.

Variety Queensland has confirmed that $2,449 of the proceeds raised at the event will be donated directly to local two-year-old Nicholas Valinoti, who suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy. The money will help Nicholas’ parents buy Nicholas his very own specialised wheelchair.

Variety Business Development Manager Amy Mackay said she was delighted Variety Queensland had been chosen as the beneficiary charity for this year’s event.

“Everyone here at Variety Queensland is so pleased to have been chosen by Springfield Land Corporation as the beneficiary charity for the Brookwater Ball,” Ms Mackay said.

“The night was a huge success, with every dollar raised going towards improving the lives of Queensland children with special needs,” she said.
