Brookwater Christmas Bazaar
November 3, 2011
THE Brookwater Drift Marquee is set to be transformed into a magical bazaar on November 10 for an evening of Christmas shopping and champagne at the inaugural Brookwater Christmas Bazaar.
More than 200 guests are expected to take part in the community event, which will raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Brookwater resident and event co-ordinator Elaine Batiste said the bazaar was a chance to showcase local businesses while bringing together the community for an evening of Christmas shopping all in the name of charity.
"The Brookwater Christmas Bazaar is all about empowering local women in small business by giving them a chance to showcase their wares," Mrs Batiste said.
"It's also an opportunity for women in the community to come together, enjoy an evening of exquisite Christmas shopping and, of course, raise money for breast
The Christmas bazaar will feature 14 stalls selling an array of gourmet produce, children's wear, designer homewares, gifts and accessories.
Tickets are $10, and include a glass of champagne on arrival and entry into the lucky door prize. Mrs Batiste, who has organised a number of similar charity events in Victoria, is hopeful the bazaar will become an annual event.
"The support from the Brookwater community has been great," Mrs Batiste said.
