Paul Pisasale

As Mayor of Ipswich and President of the Urban Local Government Association, Paul Pisasale has a deep loyalty for his city and Queensland. Paul was elected Mayor in 2004 and again in 2008 with an 82% majority, demonstrating the support and respect in which he is held. Paul is a compassionate man who is always ready to help not just the wider community but also individuals in need. He has always served his community in one way or another and was the driving force behind the formation of the Young Unemployed People of Ipswich, assisting unemployed people to gain work skills and employment.

Maha Sinnathamby

A civil engineer from University of New South Wales, Maha who is the Chairman of Springfield Land Corporation bought 2860 hectares to create a New City - "Springfield". Maha has instigated the largest Master Planned development undertaken in this country and gained unanimous approval of Queensland Parliament to have a CBD which will be twice the size of the CBD of Brisbane. Maha's passion is in Education and how Education can uplift our Society and to this end, Springfield has 6 Schools and a University plus other educational establishments. The project has seen over $2.5bn spent to date and is currently experiencing an annual expenditure of over $600m p.a.

Stefan Ackerie

Stefan is a highly regarded businessman and hairdresser from Brisbane, Australia. He owns a chain of approximately fifty hairdressing salons throughout Queensland and New South Wales. As well as this Stefan owns the famous Brisbane restaurant Jo Jo's, a large thematic restaurant and bar located above the Queen Street Mall. Stefan's Brisbane headquarters is located in South Brisbane, underneath the Skyneedle, a prominent landmark which Stefan saved from being sold overseas after World Expo '88. Stefan was a finalist in the 2004 Australian of the Year awards.

Bree Arthur

Bree Arthur has had a close relationship with Brookwater Golf & Country Club ever since joining the club as a Junior Member in 2004. Bree was an outstanding player from a young age winning many major championships at club, state, national and international level. Bree won the Queensland Female Amateur Player of the Year four times and was also the Brookwater Ladies Club Champion four times whilst still a junior and still holds the Ladies course record. Bree has also represented Australia at international level and won the individual gold medal at the Arafura Games in 2009 before turning professional. Bree now holds ALPG, LPGA Futures and European player tour cards. With a top ten finish in the New Zealand Open and several other top twenty finishes already, Bree is set for a wonderful career and is very proud to be an Ambassador to Brookwater.

Allan Border

Allan is a former Australian cricket captain. His playing nickname was 'A.B', he played 156 Test matches in his career, a record until it was passed by fellow Australian Steve Waugh. Border still retains the world record for the number of consecutive Test apprearances of 153 and the number of Tests as a captain.

Brendon Bossy

Bossy is currently a radio announcer at Brisbane's highly rated Nova 106.9. Having worked in the media for 10 years Bossy has plied his trade in Sydney, Gold Coast and now calls Brisbane home. Apart from his radio work Bossy is also involved with the Brisbane Roar as their game day host and the Broncos as ground announcer.

Richard Champion

Richard has had a football career spanning 14 years, including 10 years with the Brisbane Bears/Lions. Qualifying for entry to the AFL's prestigious 200 Club at the conclusion of his career.

Michael Dalgliesh

As a physio, Michael has had many years of experience with elite athletes and teams, and while his passion is golf, he works across many other disciplines including athletics, rugby, cycling, swimming and beach volleyball. Currently, he also works with several schools around Brisbane on athlete development.

David De Bruin

With over 25 years' experience in the Australian tourism industry, David has worked within the Airline industry in a variety of Management roles for 20 years. His current role is the Area Sales Manager representing Qantas and Qantas Regional Airlines.

David has donated large amounts time and sponsorship to support Regional Queensland and its communities. He believes that Regional Australia in particular provides a strong base for economic growth in this country. He is currently an active Director on the Board of Bundaberg Region Tourism as well as an associate Director of Economic Development Australia.

Chris Gibson

Chris has been a golf professional for over a decade, playing competitively on the Australasian tour. Chris is a AAA rated golf professional with experience as an assistant professional at one of Brisbane's most prestigious clubs, Royal Queensland Golf Club, a member of the coaching staff for Golf Queensland and mentor to several tour players on the Australian and International tours. Chris draws knowledge from his own experience, golf mentors, industry professionals, coaching forums and utilising the latest video and computer analysis equipment.

Ian Healy

Ian is a former cricketer who played for Queensland and Australia. A specialist wicketkeeper and useful righ-hand middle-order batsman, he made an unheralded entry to international cricket in 1988, after only six first-class games.

Andrew Hogg

Andrew is current the Regional General Manager, Qantas Airways, Queensland and PNG. Previously Andrew was the Qantas Regional General Manager ACT prior to holding the same position in Tasmania. In addition, he was based in the Pacific Islands, Fiji, for nearly 3 years.

Alistair Lynch

Alistair Lynch was a former captain and key member of the history-making Brisbane Lions team that won an extraordinary premiership hat trick in 2001-02-03 to be rated arguably the best team of all-time.

Tim Mander

Tim became CEO of Sripture Union Qld in 2006, an inter-church Christian movement employing over 600 staff with more than 4,000 volunteers. Tim is a former professional rugby league referee with the National Rugby League (NRL) with a career panning 14 years. Tim refereed over 300 first grade games as well as a dozen international games in countries all over the world. He refereed the two Telstra Premiership Grand Finals in 2004 and 2005, and was named International Referee of the Year for 2005.

Peter Meares

Peter has been one of Queensland's leading sports commentators for the past 35 years. Best known for his hosting of the immensely popular Brisbane Commonwealth Games in 1982 with the ABC, Peter has been a familiar face on television throughout Australia.

Andrew Slack

Andrew is an Australian former state and national representative rugby union player who captained the Wallabies in 19 Test matches in between 1984 and 1987.

Pat Welsh

7news sports reporter and presenter Pat Welsh is one of Australia's leading sports, journalist and commentators, with almost 30 years experience behind him.

Noel Whittaker

With over 45 years experience in the financial services industry, Noel is a co-founder of Whittaker Macnaught - one of Australia's leading financial advisory companies with nearly two billion dollars under management. Noel was named Australian Investment Planner of the Year for 1988 and, in April 2003, was awarded the Australian Centenary medal in recognition of his services to the financial services industry.

Vicki Wilson

Vicki Wilson was the world's greatest goal shooter in netball and the only Australian player to have played in four World Championships. She also captained the Australian team to inaugural Commonwealth Games netball gold medal in 1998. She continues to coach and mentor talented players and is currently a senior project with the Queensland Events Corporation in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

Michael Wright

Michael Wright is one of the exciting new breed of Australian golfers. Based at Brookwater in Brisbane and coached by Tom and Ken Berndt, he is a ten-year professional who has played in both the 2006 and 2009 British Opens as well as numerous tournament victories around the globe. Michael was born in Gympie and is a qualified physical education teacher. He now lives in Brisbane with wife Joann and 2 sons (Noah 4 and Charlie 2) Michael is one of the most popular players on the tour, respected as much for his faultless work ethic, his down-to-earth nature and his light-hearted manner as his excellent stroke-making ability and determination to succeed.

He turned professional in October 1999 and played on the Von Nida Tour and the Australasian Tour from 2000-05, boasting wins in the 2005 NSW Open at Liverpool and the 2005 Toyota Southern Classic at Woolooware in Sydney. He played in Japan in 2004 and secured his Asian tour card in 2006 where he played until 2008.
